Introduction

When I think of DeepCool, my mind usually wanders to one of its often bizarrely designed cases or CPU coolers. In fact, of the twenty-five DeepCool product reviews on TechPowerUp in the past decade, twenty-one are case or cooler reviews. But I then found a couple of PSUs and even a mouse! The subject of today’s review is the DeepCool KG722—a 65% form factor keyboard that clearly supports backlighting, at least based on the stock photo above. While you may think the keyboard uses blank keycaps at first glance, a careful look reveals front-facing legends, which makes this keyboard more interesting than many other such keyboards on the market. DeepCool is also marketing the use of Gateron switches and software support, in addition to good bang for the buck, and we’ll put it all to the test in our review today as we begin with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
