Introduction

Founded in 2009, Fantech is a gaming peripheral company based in Indonesia. Essentially, the Helios Go XD5 is a smaller and wireless Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. As a result of its smaller size, the Helios Go XD5 is much lighter, however, weighing just 72 g. Equipped with PixArt’s PAW3370, the Helios Go XD5 is said to have a battery life of up to 40 hours. Kailh GM 8.0 switches rated for 80 million clicks are used for the main buttons, and the feet are made of pure PTFE. Basic RGB lighting is on board, too, and can be configured within the software, which has all the usual options. A set of grip tape is included in the box, along with a wireless extender and set of replacement feet. The back cover is removable, and the necessary STEP file is provided by Fantech, allowing those so inclined 3D-printing of a back cover shaped more to their liking. The Helios Go XD5 is available either in black or white.
