At the beginning of last week, I informed you about the Polish debut of the Google Stadia service. Users of computers with Windows and macOS, Android smartphones, Android tablets and even smart TV devices could benefit from the possibilities offered by the platform. Apple’s mobile devices have unfortunately been omitted, for which you can blame the giant from Cupertino sticking to its rules regarding the App Store repository. The creators did not give up and found a back door. Google Stadia will reach iOS users via the Safari web browser. It is not a perfect solution, but I cannot fault its operation. No, after several minutes of adventure with the platform.

The Google Stadia service is now available for Apple iPhone users. The platform and games from its repository are launched using the Safari web browser.

Google Stadia in Poland now officially. Who will use this platform?

Recently, we have witnessed the debut of game streaming services such as Amazon Luna, GeForce Now and the aforementioned Google Stadia. These solutions allow you to enjoy AAA games on almost any equipment, even those with poor performance. The condition is a stable network connection with a decent performance. Of course, access to such services costs money. In the case of Google Stadia, we are talking about the amount of 39 PLN per month, for which we get access to many great titles offered as part of the subscription. We can also purchase productions that are not available “in the package” such as Cyberpunk 2077.

iOS users could not enjoy the fun because Apple did not made it possible to make the Google Stadia application available as part of the App Store. So the Mountain View giant used the Safari browser. It is through it that the game platform is launched. The virtual controller available on the touch screen is not particularly convenient, as I found out during a dozen or so minutes of fun, but we can always use an accessory pad. It’s also a good idea to add Stadia as an icon on the iOS “desktop”. To do this, just use the appropriate function in Safari’s sharing panel.
