The very compact lens for APS -C
Of course, this is not a solution “for everyone”. You can probably see it as a way to have fun and to have the curiosity to try it. The 7Artisans 18 mm f / 6.3 has an equivalent focal length of 27 mm while the aperture is fixed at f / 6.3 . It is therefore not a bright lens but the focus is on compactness and decidedly reduced cost.
Inside we still find 6 elements divided into 4 groups. The minimum focusing distance is 35 cm and obviously has no focus automatic fire and there is no vibration reduction system. The angle of view of the 7Artisans 18 mm f / 6.3 is equal to 74 °.
Despite the low price, the construction is in metal and the weight settles on the 49 grams making it very light. This new model is compatible with Canon EOS M, Sony E, Fujifilm X and MQT mounts. The new 7Artisans 18 mm f / 6.3 is for sale at 69 dollars (or 79 euro and available on Amazon Italy) and even if it will not have the visual impact (or part of the features) of the MS Optics Aporia 24 mm F / 2 is definitely more affordable.
