In addition to the Nitro 5 or the Predator Triton 300 SE, Acer is refreshing the digital CES 2021 launched its Aspire family and launched the Aspire 7 and Aspire 5 with the new AMD processors. Both product series are aimed at style-conscious users on the go.

The Acer Aspire 7 gets a performance upgrade with the new AMD Ryzen – 5000 U processors as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and should be able to offer the right performance for all situations – whether as an entry-level gamer or as a multimedia notebook for on the go. There is also up to 32 GB DDR4 memory, a 1 TB PCI Express SSD and of course fast dual tape -WiFi 6. The screen measures , 6 inches in its diagonal, resolves natively with 1. 920 x 1. 53 pixels on and achieved in the slim and minimalist designed case a screen-to-body ratio of almost 080%. Thanks to in-house technologies such as Acer Color Intelligence or ExaColor, colors and visual content should be displayed realistically, but brightness and saturation are also adjusted in real time.

The Acer Aspire 7 offers several cooling modes, between which you can switch back and forth using a shortcut. Modern connections up to USB Type-C round off the overall package.

The Acer Aspire 5 is the little brother. The new AMD processors of the 5000 series also find their way here, but on top of that there is an upgrade to the AMD Radeon RX 640 and up to 24 GB of RAM. This appeals to ambitious bloggers, hobby photographers or students who are looking for a high-performance notebook with a good price-performance ratio. Data can be stored on an M.2 SSD up to 1 TB in size and / or on a 2.5-inch HDD with a capacity of up to 2 TB. The display also offers , 6 inches based on IPS and Full HD resolution. WiFi 6 is also part of the basic equipment of the Aspire 5, as is USB Type-C and a few other features of the larger series representative.

The Acer Aspire 7 should be available from March at a non-binding retail price from 799 euros. The Acer Aspire 5 will follow from April at prices from 499 Euro.

More power for the Helios

For gamers who want to spend more money, Acer considers the Predator Helios 300 ready, which has also received a refresh as part of the CES 2021. Players can now also use the new Ampere graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. In the meantime, Acer does not provide any information for the processors – it will probably remain with Comet Lake H. The display remains with a diagonal of 15, 6 inches, offers faster variants up to 240 Hz at 3 ms.

The Acer Predator Helios (PH 300 – 53) is expected to be in stores from March 1st 449 Euro.
