AIDA64 with the new version adding support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3060, RTX 3050 and mobile RTX 3000 chips
Source: Pure PC added 13th Dec 2020So far, we’ve learned about four NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards 3000 that use the Ampere architecture. I am talking about GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. We know, however, that more cards are planned. We hear more and more about the GeForce RTX 3050, GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. In addition, the debut of mobile RTX chips 3000 is approaching along with Intel Tiger Lake-H and AMD Cezanne-H processors. We received another dose of information via the AIDA software 64, which received a new beta version marked with the number 6. 30. 5523. The new version of the program has received support for upcoming NVIDIA graphics cards from the Ampere family. Thanks to this, some information about the specification was confirmed again.
New version of AIDA 64 added support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards 3080 Ti, RTX 3060, RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX Mobile 3000. This is another clue pointing to the imminent debut.
Base AIDA 64 is another place where we often get confirmation of certain information about the specifications of upcoming graphics cards or processors. Placing more GPUs in the base is also clear information that the debut of individual cards is approaching. The new version of the mentioned program has just added support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards 3080 Ti, GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3050. The most efficient model will be based on the GA core 102 – 250 with 20 GB of GDDR6X VRAM. We expect the card to compete in price with the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, and in terms of performance it will not be too far from the GeForce RTX 3090. AIDA 64 also mentions GeForce RTX cards 3060 and RTX 3050. The first one is based on the Ampere GA core 106, the second – on a smaller GA chip 107. According to earlier reports, RTX 3050 will not use the full chip, only a truncated one. In this way, NVIDIA will in the future prepare a GeForce RTX graphics card 3050 Ti on full GA 107.
The beta version of AIDA 64 also mentions mobile GeForce RTX cards 3000. At the moment, there is no information about the flagship GeForce RTX chip 3080. However, we received information about the mobile GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Max-Q which will be based on the same Ampere GA core 106. In the case of GeForce RTX 3070, the situation is interesting because there are both models with 8 GB VRAM and 16 GB, moreover, there is also a mention of the energy-saving versions of Max-Q Design. All GPUs in this case will be based on the Ampere GA core 104. We expect all cards, both desktop and mobile, to be unveiled in January at the CES virtual trade fair 2021.
