Almost 500,000 vehicles: Tesla sets a new delivery record

Previous record exceeded Elon Musk called on his employees again shortly before the end of the year for the final sprint. Apparently with success: In the last quarter of the year 2020 the manufacturer exceeded according to its own information with sales of 180. 570 vehicles the previous record of just under 140. 000 from the third quarter again significantly exceeded.
Musk expressed his satisfaction on Twitter and spoke of a “significant milestone.” When the company was founded, even Tesla had little chance of survival of 10 percent granted.
At the beginning of the year, production started in the so-called Gigafactory 3 in China, in which around half a million cars are to be built per year. In Grünheide, Brandenburg, the company is currently building a factory in which production is to start in July.
High price gain of the share As expected, the announcement also had a positive effect on the share price. At the end of the year, Tesla shares had already left US trading with a new closing record. The share closed on 31. December 2020 with 705, 67 Dollars higher than ever. With a price gain of around 740 percent over the full year, Tesla outperformed all stocks in the S&P index 500, in which the car manufacturer has been listed since December 2020. Tesla has not yet communicated any further data for the fourth quarter. In this context, the manufacturer refers to its upcoming earnings call.
The rapidly rising share price is also noticeable with Tesla boss Elon Musk: Meanwhile, the 49 – According to the billionaire index of the financial services provider Bloomberg, year-olds with calculated assets are now on 110 Billion dollars of the third richest people in the world – after Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and Microsoft founder Bill Gates and before Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg.
