AMD has confirmed that the new BIOS with AGESA 1.1.9.0 should reach the market for motherboards during this month compatible with AMD Ryzen 5000,

thus allowing adding new features to existing equipment while optimizing the platform to use faster memories and improve system stability.

With AGESA 1.1.9.0, we will find support in AMD Ryzen processors 5000 Series for the sleep mode s0i3 , a power state previously supported only by Intel processors and which allows to quickly return the computer from a state of jo power consumption.

Likewise, we will also find optimizations for the FCLK frequency (Fabric Clock) in the range of 829 – 2000 MHz, something that will allow us to use memories from between 3600 MHz and 4000 MHz with a 1: 1 ratio , something that also increases performance under certain workloads, as seen on many occasions and tests.

Last but not least, Support for X motherboards 570 with passive cooling is also mentioned , something that is not very clear how it has been achieved or why it needs software support, especially after knowing that a good part of the active solutions are insufficient and clearly inferior to passive solutions that have come or matching motherboards from multiple manufacturers over the years.
