AMD Curve Optimizer: ASUS offers AGESA 1.1.8.0 for B450 / X470 motherboards
Source: Hardware Luxx added 25th Nov 2020Most manufacturers should offer a BIOS update with AGESA 1.1.8.0 in December, which should then enable the Curve Optimizer for Ryzen processors. In some cases, the manufacturers have already done this with earlier versions, but it doesn’t officially start until AGESA 1.1.8.0. The focus is initially on the mainboards with 500 – Series chipset.
ASUS has for its B 450 / X 470 – Mainboards now a beta BIOS released. The beta BIOS is described with:
1. Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.1.8.0 for new CPU support
2. It’s highly recommended not to update this beta BIOS when using AMD AM4 Socket for AMD Ryzen 3000 Series / 2000 Series / 1000 Series / A-Series Desktop Processors.
3. This beta BIOS can’t be reversed.

With AGESA 1.1.8.0, the mainboards with B 450 / X 470 – chipset of the Curve Optimizer for an optimized overclocking and undervolting function. In addition, Ryzen – 5000 – processors together with the new Radeon RX – 6000 – Cards that support Smart Access Memory (SAM).
