Hours go by and rumors about the new ones Radeon RX 6000 increase. After the latest rumors on the operating frequencies of the cards, there is debate on the consumption of the new AMD proposals. In the past few hours it was rumored of a TDP of approximately 255 W for Ships 21 XT, code name of the next top of the range. In reality, that value, as reported by Igor’s Lab, would not take into account all the power components and other elements on the PCB. The value for the entire sheet would therefore be approximately 320 W , and not 255 W, the same figure indicated by Nvidia for the GeForce RTX 3080.

According to the German website, i 320 W of AMD’s reference solutions should rise to approximately 355 W as regards the custom proposals of the partners . Igor’s Lab also adds that there will be a card equipped with a Navi GPU 16 XL , “throttled” version of Navi 21 XT, with a consumption of 290 W. We will see, in the meantime it is good to remember that the performance of what AMD has called “Big Navi” (Navi 21 XT) would seem similar to those of the RTX 3080, even if there are some questions: we do not know if the data released by AMD refer to the real top of the range, and we must not forget that the test was carried out with a Ryzen 9 5900 X, CPU that should give a good performance boost in gaming compared to the current solutions with which the RTX was tested 3080 .

Another detail that we learn from the German site is that le Radeon RX 6000 with Navi GPU 21 would use Samsung memory at 16 Gbps (K4ZAF 325 BM-HC 16), or 14 Gbps in the case of Ships 12 XL. Finally, as regards the availability of the cards, Igor’s Lab reports that the first custom will arrive in mid-November in view of greater availability at the end of the same month , confirming previous rumors.
