AMD Radeon RX 6900XT with full NAVI 21 core and 80 CU blocks
Source: Pure PC added 21st Oct 2020The second AMD conference this month will take place in a week, during which we will finally get to know the final specification of the Radeon RX family graphics cards 6000 based on RDNA 2 architecture. The closer to the presentation, the more information enters the network. This time, the VideoCardz portal is sharing new reports, which received new parameters of Radeon RX graphics cards from trusted sources 5120 based on the NAVI core 21. As mentioned earlier, AMD plans to launch three graphics cards based on this core this year – NAVI 21 XTX, NAVI 21 XT and NAVI 21 XL. According to the new information, all three variants will have a different configuration, and only the top NAVI 21 XTX will offer a full uncropped core.
More details about NAVI graphics chip specifications 21 XTX, NAVI 16 XT and NAVI 21 XL. Each of them will offer a different configuration of Compute Units blocks. In January, the premiere of the Radeon RX series 6700 with the NAVI core 22.
Looks like only the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT with NAVI core 21 XTX will receive all 80 Compute Units. Smaller Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 will have NAVI cores 6700 XT and NAVI 21 XL, which in turn will have active 72 and blocks Compute Units. All three cards, however, will come with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with effective clock speed 16 000 MHz and on 256 – bit bus. Interestingly, some manufacturers of non-reference chips will probably offer the top Radeon RX 6900 XT card with a very high clock speed in Boost mode even up to 2577 MHz. This information was published by igor’s Lab, referring to the early BIOS to which the portal was granted access. The BIOS also features the maximum clock with extreme overclocking using, for example, liquid nitrogen. In this case, the fixed clock is 2800 MHz.

AMD also plans to sell Radeon RX cards 6700, based on the NAVI core 22. Their presentation, however, will take place in January at the earliest, and initially AMD focuses on top cards with the NAVI core 21. In the case of the Radeon RX 6700 XT, we learned that it is to be equipped with 40 CUs and 2560 stream processors. There will also be 12 GB of VRAM per 192 – bit memory bus. Also the Radeon RX 6700 is to use 192 – bit bus, but in this case no other information is known.
