Actually, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 OC should be available much earlier but for various reasons she didn’t make it to us at the start. It is now becoming apparent that this model could be one of the best, which in addition to the “beginner cards” from 699 euros can be had at a reasonable price. So it’s time for us to investigate these speculations.
After the first announcement of the GeForce RTX – 30 – series and one was a rush for the cards – two years after the start of the previous generation – spread into partly justified, partly unjustified disillusionment. The GeForce RTX 3080 offers compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 a significant leap in performance. If you want to switch from an older generation, you will be happy with at least double the line.
The GeForce RTX 3090 it is a little more difficult. More than twice as expensive, it “only” offers a plus of up to 20% compared to the GeForce RTX 3080, but it is the fastest GeForce card on the market, but the titan bonus of the workstation driver is withheld.
What is usually held up to the two top models, however, is the higher consumption. More than 320 W are always independent of manufacturer and model and this is clearly more than before. Accordingly, much is concentrated in a negative way on consumption.
