I’m 21 applications that hide a dangerous virus and which were discovered by Avast. They are all on the Google Play Store but even 19 are still there despite Google being warned by the company of cybersecurity. They are all game applications that contain adware or dangerous viruses that can undermine the safety of users who install them on their smartphone.
Google Play Store: here is the list of 21 dangerous apps
These are applications of the ” HiddenAds ” type which had somehow already been discovered during the summer months but which are now being re-proposed by hackers who are clearly ready to create discomfort among Google and Android smartphone users. They easily manage to bypass the Play Store security checks also due to the strong sponsorship they have on YouTube and social networks, which clearly increases their diffusion.
Avast promptly published the list of applications dangerous because infected and containing the HiddenAds. In this case, unlike other situations, they are all games for Android smartphones:
- Shoot Them
- Crush Car
- Rolling Scroll
- Helicopter Attack ?? NEW
- Assassin Legend ?? 2020 NEW
- Helicopter Shoot
- Rugby Pass
- Flying Skateboard
- Iron it
- Shooting Run
- Plant Monster
- Find Hidden
- Find 5 Differences ?? 2020 NEW
- Rotate Shape
- Jump Jump
- Find the Differences ?? Puzzle Game
- Sway Man
- Desert Against
- Money Destroyer
- Cream Trip ?? NEW
- Props Rescue
The advice is clearly to uninstall these apps immediately from the smartphone even if at first glance they may not give problems. Applications of type “ Hidden Ads ” are part of the family of computer viruses, type Trojan , which hide inside safe and very often very fun applications such as games, just like in this case. The “ infection ” process is simple and when the user downloads and installs the app it starts showing intrusive ads that very often undermine the entire smartphone.
Unfortunately, precisely due to the fact that these types of viruses hide within famous apps, it is not always easy to understand if we are facing a dangerous situation. The advice as far as possible is to check the reviews of the application before downloading it, because in case of negative comments of recent times, the application could be dangerous. This is not always the case but it could often be a valid control.
