Antec has given the DF700 FLUX a corrugated mesh front
Source: Hardware Luxx added 18th Jan 2021The FLUX concept should ensure the best possible cooling for new Antec housings. Particularly promising in this regard is the latest FLUX model, the DF 700 FLUX.
Especially with the first model, the DF 600 FLUX, Antec had sabotaged the Airflow claim itself through the restrictive front. Things already looked better in this respect with the DP 502 FLUX. Antec has now given the newest DF 700 FLUX a corrugated mesh front, which gives hope for even better airflow. The look of the midi tower is also characterized by a plaque on the side with lasered Antec lettering and the glass side part on the left. Antec lines up connections and control buttons in the cover. Although two USB 3.0 ports and two audio jacks can be used, USB type C has to be dispensed with.
Antec manufactures the DF 700 FLUX made of steel, plastic and glass. The midi tower is 220 x 486 x 467 mm (W x H x D) and weighs 7.4 kg. It supports a maximum of ATX mainboards, up to 17, 5 cm high CPU cooler and up to 40, 5 cm long graphics cards. There is space for two 2.5 or 3.5 inch drives in the drive cage. The mainboard tray also offers the option of installing one 3.5-inch and three 2.5-inch drives. Antec integrates a distributor for the A-RGB lighting and for 3-pin fans. The lighting can be controlled via an LED button or a suitable mainboard.
The DF 700 FLUX is delivered with five 120 – mm fans. Three A-RGB fans shine through the front grille. The fans for the back wall and power supply cover, however, are not illuminated. As with the other FLUX models, the power supply fan sucks cool air through the perforated steel side panel on the right-hand side and thus cools the expansion cards from below.
Antec does not yet make any at the price of its new FLUX model Information. The price of the DF 700 FLUX is likely to be higher than that of the sibling model DF 600 FLUX. This model is available from around 64 euros.
