The AirPods Max , Apple’s first over-ear headphones, and one of the main confusions that have existed with these headphones is the way to enter the low consumption mode of the same , since anyone who has worn over-ear headphones will have worn them around their neck when they were not using them, something that according to what had been understood regarding the operation of the AirPods Max, was not possible if We didn’t want to drain the battery.
Therefore, Apple has released a support article detailing the operation of the headphones when we are not using them, and it is that, although it is not totally intuitive, is not based on the premise that they will continue indefinitely if we do not put them in their case.
If we leave the headphones stationary, such as on a table for example, will enter a low power state after 5 minutes , a mode that will remain 72 hours, moment in which it will enter a state of lower consumption that will also deactivate Bluetooth.
On the other hand, if we place the headphones in the Smart Case, they will immediately enter a low consumption state , while after hours if they remain in the case, they will enter the state of lower consumption mentioned above.
Regarding the case that we mentioned of wearing the headphones turned off around the neck, does not seem to mention in any case that they will enter a state of low consumption , because for this to happen without the cover, they must be stationary, something that will not happen if we are moving with them put.
