Though it comes as no surprise, Ubisoft has now announced its post-launch plans for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The next entry in the long running stealth-action open world franchise is set to receive a Season Pass with two expansions, as well as free seasonal content throughout the year.

The season pass will include two expansions. The first is called “Wrath of the Druids,” and is set to arrive in Spring 2021. The expansion will “take you on a journey to Ireland as you untangle and try to unravel mysteries of an ancient druid cult.”

The second expansion is titled “The Siege of Paris” and will be released during Summer 2021. This expansion will, unsurprisingly, see you recreate the historic siege on West Francia that took place in 845. The Season Pass will also include a bonus mission called “The Legend of Beowulf” which will be available at launch.

Ubisoft will also offer free seasonal content to all players, arriving first at the end of 2020, then next in Spring 2021, followed by Summer 2021, with the final piece of content arriving in Fall 2021. These new seasonal additions will bring more than just new missions, but will include additional game modes, events, gear and new skills.

Finally, as has been witnessed in many of the franchise’s previous games, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will bring back the Discovery Tour mode, which allows players to roam around the open sandbox, learning about the history of the world.

While Ubisoft’s games have become synonymous with Season Passes, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla appears to be taking its expansions to interesting places. It’ll be curious to see whether the team has more planned for the game’s second year.
