ASUS announces the first TUF Gaming and Republic of Gamers laptops for 2021 – we expect many new products
Source: Pure PC added 07th Jan 2021The CES trade fair will begin in a week, and this year it will be a big part of laptop announcements. Exactly 12 January, AMD and NVIDIA will have their conferences, during which both AMD Ryzen processors 5000 (Cezanne APU) as well as the new generation of GeForce RTX graphics cards 3000, based on the Ampere architecture. We know that one of the companies that will present their new products will be ASUS. On official social channels, there are short announcements of new products from the TUF Gaming and Republic of Gamers series (ROG Strix and ROG Zephyrus). The new laptops will certainly be powered by upcoming components from AMD and NVIDIA. What exactly do these short videos reveal to us?
ASUS has made two short announcements of the upcoming TUF Gaming and Republic of Gamers (Strix / Zephyrus) laptops.
In the case of the TUF Gaming series, we should count on a refreshed design, slightly different from what was presented in previous years. The short teaser shows the notebook cooling system from this series. Cooling, looking redesigned at first glance. Previous models had a problem with effectively cooling AMD Ryzen processors 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards 2060. We hope that this year the TUF Gaming models will represent a much better level in this respect. In one of the shots we also see the new TUF logo, which will be placed on the outer cover.
The second video is from the Republic of Gamers series. Here, the manufacturer also has a field to show off, because the novelties will include both ROG Strix and ROG Zephyrus models. The presentation of laptops will take place 12 January, so on the same day as the AMD and NVIDIA conferences. Therefore, it is not necessary to predict that this time all gaming laptops from the Taiwanese manufacturer will use AMD Ryzen processors 5000. As for the GeForce RTX 3000 Mobile cards, in a few days we should receive specific information on the next-generation capabilities.
