Page 1: ASUS, EVGA, MSI and ZOTAC: Four custom models of the GeForce RTX 3070 in the test

After we checked out the Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 3070, the first custom models will follow today. These differ mainly in terms of clock rate, power limits and cooling. We take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of the individual models on the following pages.

To the official Sales launch of the GeForce RTX 3070 we are looking at four models: One each from ASUS, EVGA, MSI and ZOTAC. It could have been even more, but some manufacturers did not manage to provide us with the sample with sufficient lead time and a detailed test needs one thing above all: time.

So let’s take a look at the most important technical data of the models:

The base clock of the GeForce RTX 3070 has NVIDIA with 1. 500 MHz. Accordingly, we see this rhythm not only in the Founders Edition, but also in the custom models. There are differences in the boost clock, which the manufacturers set at different levels. ZOTAC is with the Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge at 1. 725 MHz at the level of the Founders Edition. At ASUS, the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 OC is almost 100 MHz on it and MSI lives with the GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio a plus of more than 100 MHz . All manufacturers let the memory work with 1. 750 MHz.

There are again slight differences in the power limit and total graphics power. NVIDIA looks here 140 W before and just like with ZOTAC there is an additional plus on 240 W possible. At 240 W first the models from ASUS and MSI get in. While ASUS another plus on 280 W enabled, are only available at MSI 250 W possible.
