ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB Dual – compact graphics card with two fans officially announced
Source: Pure PC added 19th Jan 2021Although there is still more than a month until the premiere of the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, we have already been inundated with all announcements and presentations of proprietary models of Nvidia’s partners. As it could be deduced from the official show of the fifth Ampere graphics card and what was confirmed by the latest reports, this time the Greens will abandon the Founders Edition and only non-reference designs will be available in stores. Companies such as Palit, Inno3D, MSI and ASUS have already presented their models. In the case of the last manufacturer, only the ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix and TUF Gaming were previously confirmed, but it was not long before the announcement of the most modest RTX graphics card 3060 in the ASUS portfolio, the GeForce RTX 3060 Dual.
ASUS has officially confirmed that the GeForce RTX 3060 Dual will hit the market. It will be a two-fan, very compact design.

ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Dual in the OC version was presented on the company’s official profile on Facebook . Graphics card, based on Samsung’s 8-nanometer technological dimension Ampere GA 106 with 3584 with CUDA cores, there is no product card on the ASUS website yet, so we do not know the full specification yet. ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Dual is to be equipped with 12 GB VRAM GDDR6 on 192 – bit bus. The memory will run at 15000 MHz and its bandwidth will reach 360 GB / s. As with the Strix and TUF Gaming models, we don’t know the core timings.
NVIDIA’s partners confirm the final specification of the graphics card GeForce RTX 3060. What will the next Ampere chip offer?
ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Dual will be a 2-slot card with two Axial fans and a small heat sink with five heat pipes. There was also an RGB accent in the form of an unobtrusive strip. In addition, it will receive one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4a. As for the additional power supply, it will be necessary – as you can guess – to connect a single 8-pin plug. The power consumption will be 170 W. We do not know the full dimensions of the structure, but according to the published photos, it will be quite small and its length may be approx. 20 cm. It resembles TUF Gaming known from GeForce GTX 1660, which had dimensions 20, 7 cm x 12, 6 cm x 4.7 cm and in the case of RTX 3060 Dual, they may be similar. For comparison, the clearly larger ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Dual has 26, 9 cm x 13, 6 cm x 5.2 cm. The premiere of GeForce RTX 3060 will take place at the end of February and the Dual version will be the cheapest of the announced cards in the ASUS offer, although you can probably expect a higher price than the suggested price set by the company Nvidia (1550 PLN).
