ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix is a 2.7-slot design instead of the 2.9-slot design of the RTX 3060 Ti, although the difference does not matter much. The card is equipped with a well-known cooling system consisting of a massive heat sink and three Axial-tech fans (each with nine blades). The middle one spins in a different direction compared to the other extreme ones. What’s more, the GPU works in semi-passive mode, and thus – the fans will start spinning after exceeding 50 degrees.

On the back of the ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix could not be missing from the dark color of the backplate. The card requires an additional power supply with only one 8-pin plug. As for the connectors, it has a custom set: two HDMI 2.1 ports and three DisplayPort 1.4a. Unfortunately, ASUS did not disclose the GPU timings on its website. ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 ROG Strix will also be available in an OC version. In addition, the offer also includes the ASUS GeForce RTX graphics card 3060 TUF Gaming (OC), which also requires only one 8-pin power plug, has have the same connector package and will also be a 2.7-slot design. Unfortunately, we do not know the exact dimensions of the chip or the clock frequency of the core. There is no Dual version in the company’s portfolio on the official website yet, but it can be expected that it will soon be supplemented with the cheapest ASUS model. The presented cards will debut at the end of February 2021, and their prices will clearly exceed the suggested price set by Nvidia at 329 US dollars (1550 PLN).
