Introduction
If there ever was a brand that needed no introduction here, that would be ASUS. With its ROG sub-brand becoming almost as well known, and arguably even larger than many other brands, the ASUS marketing machine has worked fairly well over the years—occasional hiccups aside. We’ve covered plenty of ROG products before, be it graphics cards, motherboards, CPU coolers, cases, and even peripherals including keyboards, mice, and headsets. Amidst these, the occasional IEMs have popped now and then, including the ROG Cetra II Core covered by my colleague three years ago. I had seen recently that ASUS now had some TWS devices in its portfolio, with CES this year seeing the launch of the latest, and perhaps even the greatest in the form of the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova.
The ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova is a mouthful to say and type each time, yet I can’t really truncate it too much given the ROG Cetra True Wireless is a separate, older product this builds upon. The ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova comes in two colors and, as the stock photo above suggests, offers not only Bluetooth connectivity but also 2.4 GHz for lower latency use. ASUS boasts the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova to be capable of wireless gaming thus, and it also has active noise cancellation with customizable settings. Being an ROG product, seeing RGB LEDs should not be a surprise either, although it’s a first for me on a TWS device. There’s also a mobile app with EQ and sound optimization features, among others, so let’s thank ASUS for providing a review sample to TechPowerUp and begin with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
