A different look Be quiet! Released a new line of closed loop water coolers called Pure loop. These coolers are available with a size of 140, 240, 280 and 360 mm and several websites have the 280 mm model on felt the tooth.

The first thing the reviewers notice is that the cooler is inexpensive compared to competing manufacturers. In addition, the device looks different from other closed-loop coolers. Be quiet! developed the Pure Loop in collaboration with the Taiwanese manufacturer KD Industrial. other manufacturers generally work with Asetek or CoolIT, which makes many PhDs look alike.

The testers further note that the manufacturer has put the emphasis on the pump and barely on the rgb bells and whistles. The CPU block is compact and has a modest ring of white LEDs on the outside, while the rest of the cooling is black. In addition, this closed-loop cooler is refillable, something that is not so common with such equipment and is seen as a welcome addition. It even comes with a bottle of coolant.

According to the reviewers, the radiator is remarkably thin. This is because the pump is housed in a plastic housing near the radiator. Be quiet! says that this should ensure a lower noise production and minimal vibration, but according to the testers there is hardly any difference with other PhD students.

The cooler is 317 x 140 x 27 mm in size and the included 140 mm fans can run at a maximum of 1600 rpm. The cpu block can be mounted on LGA 1150 -, LGA 1151 -, LGA 1155 -, LGA 1156 -, LGA 2011 (- 3) -, LGA 2066 -, AM3 + and AM4 sockets.

In terms of performance, the Pure Loop knows 280 mm to set good values. If the cpu is idle, it will be approximately between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius in the testing of the different sites. At a load of 100 percent, the processor is the 55 and 64 degrees and if overclocked , temperatures between 83 and 83, measured 4 degrees.

The PhD student is able to perform above average in the field of noise production. Idle generates the cooler between the 34 and 34, 7 decibels. Under a load of 100 percent this increases to a temperature between 35 and 48 decibels. If the processor is overclocked, noise will be around the 59 decibels.

The be quiet! Pure Loop 280 mm is recommended by almost all reviewers. The build quality, price / performance ratio and additional accessories included are the big plus points that are cited. The only thing that was disappointing was the noise production. The noise level was not much lower than that of other coolers, while be quiet! precisely emphasizes this with the deviating design. It also mentions the lack of RGB LEDs and offering a three-year warranty instead of the usual five years.
