In the ‘last year the connection between art and technology has undergone a strong development through phenomena such as multimedia exhibitions and open museums online that project the viewer using virtual reality devices. Two apparently distant worlds but never so close. Art like technology is dynamic, it grows and develops over time and often one depends on the other. Just think of the importance of the automobile for futurism at the beginning of 900 ‘.
The Cinello company creates digital reproductions of famous works of art that it defines as DAWs (Digital Art Works) protected by a patent, numbered and authenticated by the museum that houses the original. From the passion for heritage and advanced technological expertise. The company created the Cinello Unlimited award.
From the needs connected between man, culture and technology, Cinello Unlimited was also born thanks to the will of Jhon Blem (president of the honor committee) and Franco Losi (president of the jury). The initiative is aimed at all categories of the sector such as artists, galleries and foundations who presented their digital projects during the year through web portals or social channels, without forgetting the real objective of the event: promoting the artistic heritage through digital.
The competition is divided into three categories: artist, journalist and project. The prize includes one winner per category who will be awarded a cash sum. Furthermore, a scholarship will be awarded by the cultural association Save the artistic heritage , aimed at university students adhering to the initiative, to the most innovative and significant project.
Applications for participation will be open until and no later than 31 December 2020.
