Canon RF 50 mm f / 1.8 STM: how will it be?
There is no official information but an image of the new has been leaked Canon RF 50 mm f / 1.8 STM in addition to its optical design, so that it can be compared with its EF mount counterpart. Currently who wants a 50 mm for attack RF by Canon can only look at the RF 50 mm F1.2L USM which however has a high cost (2629 euro) with dimensions and weight (950 grams ) affected by the aperture of f / 1.2.
With a solution of f / 1.8 we will then go to partially lose in maximum aperture but obtaining a whole series of advantages also allowing you to have a good optics for portraits without having to have a high budget.
Compared to the previous generation model, we will find also the addition of one aspherical element while the total elements should remain six. It will therefore not simply be an RF edition of the EF lens but something a little different.
Currently the Canon EF 50 mm f / 1.8 STM is priced at 140 euro (new ) and is therefore quite affordable. Even the RF version, although there will be a relative increase in price compared to the EF, should still remain in the low range of the offer.
