CES 2021: LG reveals its first smartphone with a roll-up screen
Source: Geeknetic added 11th Jan 2021At the end of its CES event 2021, LG has shown by surprise its new terminal LG Rollable, a mobile that, as its name suggests, is equipped with a screen with a roll-up panel that allows you to vary the size of the terminal and its screen to suit the user.
In the small video you can see how the LG Rollable is unfolded and little by little by means of a motorized system, it reduces its size until it remains in a format and diagonal similar to that of a conventional smartphone.
The rolling screen mechanism of the LG Rollable is similar to the Oppo X 2021
It is not the first time we see something thus, in fact it seems a system similar to the one Oppo taught with its X 2021, a mobile with a rollable OLED screen developed by BOE that showed a very similar, with a motorized system that enlarged or reduced the size of the terminal nal, rolling and unrolling the screen.
In the case of the LG Rollable it is expected that the screen is manufactured by LG itself, but at least for now the company has not revealed more details or specifications about this curious smartphone. Previous leaks spoke of it being capable of going from a 6.8-inch diagonal to a 7.4 “diagonal, but in a more square format that gives more usable area.
