“Just do it differently!” is the motto of the Chemnitzer Linux Days 2021. Like many other specialist conferences and community events, the Linux meeting will take place online in the coming year.

The corona pandemic is not just for the Failure of the Chemnitzer Linux Days 2020 responsible. It also ensures that work and learning are increasingly moving into the digital space for many people. That is why the role of Linux and open source in the rapid digitization is one of the central topics of the lectures and workshops in the coming year.

Lectures and presentations are broadcast via video stream. For discussion and exchange, the initiators rely on the open source solution “Big Blue Button”.

On the website of the Chemnitzer Linux Days, the organizers call for presentations and workshops to be submitted. Projects, companies and associations can apply for a virtual stand in the “Linux Live” area. The “CLT Junior” program with the target group of children and young people is also shifting to the digital space.
