Cinebench R23 supports Apple's M1 and has added convenience functions
Source: Hardware Luxx added 11th Nov 2020MAXON has released another version of the popular Cinebench. The release 20 offers support for Apple’s M1-based Macs, i.e. the new MacBook Air, 13 “MacBook Pro and the Mac mini with its own M1 -SoC.
The Cinebench R 23 is based on the code of Cinema 4D R 23 and uses updated compilers for rendering . There are also some improvements in the user interface and in the range of functions. For example, the single-core test can be started without first having to activate the extended benchmark options. In addition, Cinebench R 23 an integrated stability test that sets the scene for 10 or 30 renders minutes and outputs the results. This also shows a possible reduction in performance that does not yet occur during a run The advanced settings just mentioned, the duration for the tests can be adjusted.
Previous Cinebench results (for example of the R 20) can no longer be compared with this version. The code and compiler changes make a comparison impossible.
