The Lower Saxony edition of the Coding Da Vinci hackathon started in October and connects the world of culture and technology. Through the visual processing of open data, the digital cultural heritage is to be given new access as part of the Hackathon series. The participants are free to choose the medium: websites, apps, VR and other implementations can be created according to their interests. For this purpose, cultural institutions from the region, such as museums, libraries and archives, provided a total of 46 data sets under an open license.

The 14 – the weekly sprint phase for the implementation of the projects is now over. At the 29. On January 1st, all projects are presented with their results such as codes and images and the winners are honored. The event with the cooperation partner Kulturzentrum Pavillon, Hannover starts at 16 o’clock. Due to the current situation, the award ceremony will take place online.
