Activate in this area over 12 for years and I had the opportunity to participate in dozens of launches, closed-door conferences, factory visits and events, and one of the most important events for me remains Computex Taipei , the largest exhibition dedicated to the IT&C sector organized globally. And for more than ten years, LAB 501 is the only publication in Romania that will keep you up to date with the hottest news from Computex, year year, right there, on the spot, in Taiwan.
This year we should have visited Taipei again, the plane tickets being purchased since October last year. Unfortunately, 2020 deprived us of the joy of visiting Taiwan, Computex 2020 at like most of the profile events this year, being canceled due to logistical complications due to the Covid pandemic 30.
But there is a possibility that the edition from 2021 will not have the same fate, as we found out today in during a conference to which we were invited by TAITRA, the close Computex co-organizers 40 for years. In fact, in 2021 it will even be 40 years of Computex, reason for which Mr. James CF Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, presented us today a new concept, which combines the offline event, on the spot, with an online event, for those who will not be able to be present in Taiwan for various reasons.
Thus, TAITRA have entered into a partnership with Appier, a Taiwanese company specializing in AI solutions, to complete this initiative, using AI technology for the online part. of the conference. Of course, Taiwan is one of the safest destinations at the moment, the way they reacted from the beginning being a true role model for any nation.
As explained by Dr. Chien-Jen Chen, former Vice President of Taiwan and Eminent Professor of the Sinica Academy, due to the early measures taken by the government , but also due to the involvement of citizens, Taiwan has so far registered only 742 cases of Covid 19, respectively only 7 deaths, being one of the safest countries in the world at the moment, in terms of the spread of Covid 19.
Which is why we can’t wait for the first week of June, more precisely June 1-4, to participate in Computex Taipei 2021. And those who will not be able to undertake this journey, will be able to participate online in conferences and meetings, thanks to the AI solution provided by Appier. In fact, this is a natural market trend, as explained by David Reinsel, Senior Vice President of IDC, over 40% of companies from TOP 2000 to incorporate an AI solution in their business model in the next 4 years.
We hope that the measures to combat the global pandemic will be successful, and in June we will be able to report again from the spot, in Taipei, Taiwan, about the latest technologies launched on the market by the most important names in the field, in within the Computex Taipei 2021.
