An eventful year will soon be behind us. The time between the years offers the opportunity to relax. The photographers of our pictures of the week found this calm in nature. The beginning was made on Saturday “Blende1. 209”, which presented us with an unusual landscape shot from the mountains. In the pale sunlight and in the scree, you have to look for the lonely hiker in the photo. Even though autumn is already over, the photo of a squirrel from “etherman” pleased us on Sunday. He seems to have had a particularly curious specimen in front of his lens.

On Monday we went back to the mountains. “Foto-Ceha” photographed a mountain panorama on the frozen Flemmsee in the last light of the day, which surprises with an interesting diagonal division. On Tuesday “Kosh_hh” took us north to the Totengrund in the Lüneburg Heath. With his picture of the day, he proves that there are also beautiful lighting moods beyond the golden hour. Matthias Moll captured the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in his picture of the day on Wednesday. The picture has a particularly atmospheric effect due to the Milky Way as a backdrop and the occasional light pollution on the floor.

Photographer “Secundanned” actually sent his picture greeting to the gallery for the first time in Advent. The calm mood also goes well with Christmas Day. The week ended like a fairytale with the close-up of an illuminated mushroom from “Lightpix 84”.
