Corsair has announced today the acquisition of the EpocCam application , an application that allows us to turn our iOS device into a high definition webcam for applications such as calls through Zoom, Skype, OBS Studio, Google Meet or Microosft Teams to chat, broadcast or record in high resolution.

EpocCam joins the ranks of Corsair through its subsidiary Elgato to expand the portfolio of products for creators Content, with EpocCam Head of Development Sami Grohn joining Elgato’s ranks as Principal Software Engineer.

As a first step forward, Elgato has re-launched the app cation for iOS under its brand , with a new user experience that also includes a great integration with the rest of the products from Elgato’s portfolio.

Also, it is indicated that there are developments in progress to add new features and functionalities to the application through software updates , although for now it has not been mentioned whether among these updates is to consider add support to the Android application, since there are not a few terminals in this ecosystem that have cameras of equal or higher quality than those of the iPhone compatible with the application.
