Corsair has the Hydro-X-Series water blocks for the GeForce RTX graphics cards – 30 – series presented. The Hydro X Series XG7 RGB GPU water block is compatible with the Founders Editions of the GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 as well as the model variants ASUS ROG Strix and MSI Ventus as well as numerous other graphics cards that use the reference PCB developed by NVIDIA. A complete list of compatible cards is available directly from Corsair.

The actual water cooler is made of copper and has been nickel-plated. It covers the GPU, the memory chips and some components of the voltage phases. The water is passed through the water cooler and flows through approximately 30 fine cooling channels, which represent a large surface, in the middle which can dissipate the waste heat from the heat sink to the water. The remaining area of the card is covered by an aluminum cooler. This also applies to the backplate, which is also made of aluminum and in the case of the GeForce RTX 3090 also has to dissipate the waste heat of the memory chips on the back.

Where the water flows through the radiator at the front, Corsair covers it with a Plexiglas plate so that the view of the water cooling circuit remains unobstructed. In this area, Corsair also installs some LEDs that are used to illuminate the cooler.

Corsair has revised the connection terminal on the front of the card. This should be reminiscent of the Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB. Just like the LEDs on the Plexiglas plate, those on the front can also be controlled. This can be done using the iCue software or an iCue controller. The LEDs can be connected to a controller or a mainboard via a 5V adapter cable.

Corsair provides the Hydro X Series XG7 RGB GPU water block with thermal paste and the associated thermal pads so that the cooler can be used the dismantling of the originally installed cooler can be installed directly. The water cooler is available now and costs in the variant for the reference design of the PCB 169, 90 Euro, for the Founders Editions of NVIDIA, MSI Ventus and ASUS ROG Strix each 179,90 Euro.
