Do you still remember TV sets with the so-called big … shack? These cathode ray tube solutions were able to sound strong enough (which does not mean that they were always clean). After all, there was quite a lot of space in them to place reasonable speakers. Today, in turn, in flat-screen TVs or monitors, audio equipment is installed that can be used, although rather only from the proverbial poverty. Sure, we won’t need dedicated speakers to watch YouTube content or evening news. However, there is nothing to be charmed about – nowadays TV sets are bought to watch movies rather than watch TV as such. And using built-in solutions for the aforementioned films is almost a profanation, and certainly a loss of a lot of fun from the soundtrack. Therefore, soundbars such as Creative Sound BlasterX Katana were created, although you must know that the creators of the set had a different goal – that this could easily fit under the monitor of each of us.

The Creative Sound BlasterX Katana may already be in the homes of many of you. It is not a premiere equipment, but debuting in 2017. He has, by the way, managed to win several awards reviewers, including the award for the best loudspeakers of the European Hardware Association (EHA), represented in Poland by PurePC.pl. The set has been with us for some time, but only now we managed to prepare the test material for it. Before we start testing, it is worth mentioning that the jurors sitting in the EHA awarded the Creative Sound BlasterX Katana design for performance, design and sound quality provided by three Tri-Amplified amplifiers, a system of four drivers in the soundbar and a subwoofer.
