Through its Twitter account, CD Projekt RED has announced that its latest major release, Cyberpunk 2077, has achieved nothing more and nothing less than 8 million bookings , a milestone that places it in the Olympus of the best launches of the year.

Available from this morning, the game has reached PC, consoles and also streaming platforms such as NVIDIA GeForce Now and the similar service from google, xCloud. On digital distribution platforms such as Steam or GoG, download peaks much higher than usual have been registered, with some specific problems when downloading the game.

In fact, on Valve’s popular game distribution service Steam, a huge spike has been created of fair use with the launch of the game, reaching up to 12 Tbps, which has made there have been some connection and download speed problems that some users have also reported on GoG, another platform where it is available.
