Although there have been several companies that have complained or even initiated some type of lawsuit against Apple, Today it is one of the companies that we would least expect to face Apple, and it is Cydia , the original application store that reached the first Jailbroken iPhones.

As we see in Engadget, the allegations are the same as those made by other companies, and that is that Apple is accused of the acquisition and maintenance of an illegal monopoly on the distribution of applications for iOS.

Although not for now It is more than a lawsuit that has just begun, since it was interposed I use Thursday 11 December , it is possible that this, together with other demands from other companies, end up making a dent in Apple’s business model , which is based heavily on the commissions they receive for in-app purchases.

Cydia appeared in 2007 as a method of adding applications and functionalities that were not approved by Apple and therefore did not have a hole in the Apple App Store, and although today Cydia is not as prominent as before, in 2010 the store’s traffic was 4.5 million users.
