Darkest Dungeon is the debut production of the independent studio Red Hook, which was funded on the Kickstarter platform. The game once gained great popularity in the Early Access phase on Steam and finally made its debut on PC in mid-January 2016. The action of Darkest Dungeon takes place in a depressing world, modeled on e.g. in the books of HP Lovecraft, the master of horror, the famous creator of the Cthulhu mythology. The game explores the title dungeons or dark forests and fights difficult battles with opponents in a turn-based system, bearing in mind, among others, the emotional and physical state of the character. The high quality of the title is confirmed not only by the very good reviews from critics (the PC version has an average on Metacritic at the level of 84 )%), but also players (90% positive ratings on Steam). The game is available with Polish subtitles.
