Dual-tower models in particular offer maximum cooling performance in the air cooler area – but often at the expense of compatibility. With the AS 500 Plus, DeepCool offers a single-tower model that should offer high performance with good RAM compatibility. But especially on the AS 500 Plus you can show that with a view to the Compatibility not only the main memory can be problematic for a long time.
DeepCool’s cooler flagship Assassin III is a typical high-end air cooler : A massive double tower construction with two two fans. Such a cooler takes up a lot of space, can with its heavy weight also place a certain load on the CPU socket and sometimes makes it difficult to change other components, e.g. the graphics card and the main memory. As a leaner performance alternative, DeepCool offers the AS 500 Plus. This cooler also comes with two 140 – mm fans equipped, but thanks to its single-tower construction it is much slimmer. Compared to the Assassin III, he should at least gain optically. Then while the flagship cooler has to get by without lighting, the AS 500 gets plus A-RGB lighting. The can be controlled either via a suitable mainboard or via a supplied controller.
The Deepcool the AS 500 Plus positioned just below the Assassin III, the pricing also makes it clear. The dual tower cooler is used for around 70 Euro offered – and the AS 200 Plus should be quite ambitious 70 Euro. With the regular AS 500 there is a sibling model with a simple fan assembly. That is around 10 euros cheaper .
