Initially, smartphones using Dual SIM technology were not particularly efficient devices. In fact, we could find a slot for two SIM cards mainly in cheaper phones from the Middle Kingdom. However, many people saw the potential of a solution that allows two numbers to fit in one device – private and business. A few years ago, there was a sharp increase in the popularity of Dual SIM and today it is difficult to find a device that does not offer this function. As Dual SIM is unequal to Dual SIM, it is worth discussing the most important differences between several variants offered by smartphone manufacturers. It turns out that there is a lot of confusion in technology and it is easy to get lost in it.

Dual SIM is nothing but the possibility using two numbers on one mobile device. The usefulness of the solution is enormous, but for the purposes of this post, I will focus only on the most important and most frequently mentioned. Dual SIM is used primarily by people who want to connect two spheres of life – private and professional – in an uncomplicated and cheap way. As an employee or business person, you probably use separate work devices and phone numbers. It’s natural, but carrying two headphones with you is not particularly comfortable, especially if you want to be constantly “in touch”. Here, the option of working two SIM cards in one device will be perfect. This configuration will also be useful when traveling abroad. Instead of worrying about expensive calls and roaming internet, we buy a new number from a local operator, which is much more profitable. Dual SIM can be used in one more interesting way. Well, if we are bound by a subscription contract that does not offer a sufficient data package, we can buy an additional “number” dedicated to packet connections.

Dual SIM is an extremely useful function that allows private and business phone number management. How to choose the right solution variant?

Fast charging on your smartphone – what should you know about it?

The first consumer SIM card was the size of a credit card. Nevertheless, it was possible to fit it in the cell phones of that time. A piece of chip embedded in a plastic with dimensions of 85 × 54 mm was quite a significant brake in the miniaturization of devices mobile. For this reason, a new mini-SIM standard was developed, which contained the necessary information in a “structure” with the dimensions 25 x 15 mm. The next step was to reduce the cards to the micro variant (15 x 12 mm ) and nano (12, 3 x 8.8 mm). Since then, the “convenient” Dual SIM has started to gain real popularity. After all, such a small size allowed for convenient implementation of the necessary slots in a smartphone. However, do not think that the development of the said solution has stopped on nano SIM. A new standard has been developed that does not require inserting a card into the device. I am talking about eSIM. It is a fledgling technology, but I mention it for one simple reason – some manufacturers use it for Dual SIM.
