Currently, gaming laptops are dominated by screens with Full HD resolution and high refresh rate – 120 Hz, 144 Hz, 240 Hz and even 300 Hz in some cases. At the same time, however, from generation to generation, we can observe a situation where top graphics cards are no longer fully used due to the low screen resolution. This is especially visible in the NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards 3000, which show the greatest potential most often in Quad HD and Ultra HD resolutions, and much less often in Full HD. For several months we have already had information confirming the wider use of Quad HD screens in laptops. The first company – Eluktronics – has already announced the world’s first notebooks with WQHD matrices with a diagonal of both 15, 6 ” and 17, 3 “. This information, however, is also important from the point of view of the upcoming release of the new generation GPU in laptops.

Eluktronics presented the first gaming notebooks with WQHD matrices and refresh rate of 165 Hz.

Looking at the performance of NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards 3000, we can expect more to come next year laptops using new WQHD screens with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Eluktronics has already introduced Mech laptops – 15 G3, Max – 15 and Max – 17, which in special editions include the Quad HD matrix. For Mech – 15 G3 and Max models – 15 we are talking about screens with a diagonal 15, 6 “. Eluktronics Max – 17 in turn includes a diagonal panel 17, 3 “. Both matrix types also have a high refresh rate of 165 Hz. Already in the past, there has been information that next year Dell also puts much more emphasis on screens with Quad HD resolution, both from laptops with Intel and AMD processors.

Eluktronics laptops currently sold have an Intel Core i7 processor – 10870 H , a bit slower version of Core i7 – 10875 H. The base clock here is 2.2 GHz, in Turbo Boost 2.0 mode it reaches a maximum of 5.0 GHz. The processor is coated in all three models with liquid metal, instead of the usual thermal paste. In the case of a graphics card, we can choose the NVIDIA GeForce RTX model 2070 SUPER. At the moment, such a card is unlikely to use the full potential of matrices 1440 p 165 Hz. So we expect greater availability next year, when the GeForce RTX cards 3000 are already introduced. More about the laptops themselves on the Eluctronics website.
