Enermax REVOLUTION D.F. X 1200 W Review
Source: Tech Power Up added 15th May 2024Introduction
The PSU aesthetics are often overlooked. In most scenarios, as long as the PSU color scheme somewhat matches the interior color of a chassis and blends in nicely, it is already a design win. That’s why we went from plain aluminium boxes to black paint and called it a day.
While the RGB craze, seemingly, might be over its peak, it is nice to have options like the Enermax REVOLUTION D.F. X series that can bring a little bling to your PSU, without requiring the customer to resolve to modding.
Here at TechPowerUp, we care much more about the performance of a power supply instead of its visual appeal. Apart from the lights the Enermax REVOLUTION D.F. X 1200 W (model number ERT1200EWT) looks to be a very potent contender in the 1 kW+ range. At the standard 150 x 140 x 86 mm dimensions, 80 Plus Gold level efficiency, with ATX 3.0 support, this unit has the potential to power a very serious yet compact gaming machine, especially since Enermax is quoting a “non-stop 24/7” power delivery at 40°C ambient temperature. The 10-year warranty also serves as an indicator of Enermax’s expectations for the supply’s longevity.
Let’s start with the specification summary.
