This card came with a limit power of 400 W, however, now the company has released a new BIOS or vBIOS so that users can increase that limit up to 450 W. In this way, a higher margin is offered for the card to go up in speed or users can increase its speed with overclock.

Increase EVGA RTX power limit 3080 FTW3 ULTRA does not guarantee more performance in all cases

It must be taken into account that the B NVIDIA oost is based on various parameters such as current system load, temperature, power and performance limits, etc. So simply increasing the power limit does not ensure a performance increase by itself. In fact, EVGA itself ensures that this BIOS is BETA and is intended for the most extreme users of overclocking, requiring a source of 829 W 80 PLUS Gold as a minimum and advising that an increase in performance is not guaranteed.

Even so, it is still good news that manufacturers give options to their users and anyone who You want to be able to update the vBIOS of your EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA to get a little more performance.
