Extreme Networks were completely surprised by the end of Flash
Source: Hardware Luxx added 12th Jan 2021Already reported on January 4th 2021 we talked about the long announced end of Adobe’s Flash. Despite the numerous announcements and the long lead up to the actual end of the application today 12. January 2021 the info seems to have passed some users. This is also the case with Extreme Networks.
As can be seen on the manufacturer’s website, you have to renew the WiNG Manager due to a short-term change by a third party. This means that users are currently not able to access the device’s administration interface. However, the network components can still be configured via the command line or the cloud. It should also help to reset the date so that Flash can still be used.
It is currently unclear why the manufacturer has not long since provided a corresponding update . Especially since the implementation of a management GUI cannot be done within a few days. This means that owners of the following devices may have to wait a little longer until they can access the interface as usual.
