Fantech Helios II Pro Review
Source: Tech Power Up added 06th Apr 2024Introduction
Founded in 2009, Fantech is a gaming peripheral company based in Indonesia. Being the successor to the Helios XD3 V2, the ambidextrous Helios II Pro XD V3 comes with a host of improvements. Most notably, the weight is significantly lower at just 55 g, which has been achieved without resorting to an open-bottom design, and holes are only found sparingly on the bottom. For the main buttons, the Helios II Pro utilizes optical switches from TTC rated for 100 million clicks, whose main benefit is their inability to ever develop double-clicking due to wear and tear. PixArt’s PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI sees use as well, and by purchasing the separately available 4K wireless dongle, the Helios II Pro can be upgraded to true 4000 Hz wireless polling. At 1000 Hz, Fantech indicates up to 60 hours of battery life, and up to 40 hours at 4000 Hz. For those wanting more, the Helios II Pro also comes with power efficient Bluetooth connectivity. The feet are made of pure PTFE, and a replacement set is included in the box, along with a set of grip tape. The usual customization options are found within the software. The Helios II Pro is available in black or gray.
