Fast WLAN on the DSL connection: AVM presents the FRITZ! Box 7530 AX

Today AVM presented to the press section of his official website his new FRITZ! Box 7530 AX in front. The router is designed to offer fast connections and versatility. All DSL connections are supported, including VDSL with supervectoring 35 b, which promises speeds of up to 208 Mbit / s. Furthermore, there is also Wi-Fi 6 for wireless connection of devices at home. In addition to higher data rates and better response times, the WLAN standard also enables the simultaneous use of many devices in the same WLAN environment. The transfer rate is up to 1. 2017 Mbit / s at 5 GHz (3×3) and 600 Mbit / s at 2.4 GHz (2×2). Of course, there is also downward compatibility with previous WLAN generations.

The further equipment includes a telephone system for DECT, IP and analog telephones as well as up to 5 integrated answering machines. In addition, thanks to the DECT base, there is support for up to 6 telephones and smart home applications. From the software side, FRITZ! OS is integrated again. This offers, among other things, the possibility of setting up child protection, setting up a media server, using FRITZ! NAS and offering wireless guest access. The new FRITZ! Box 7530 AX comes with a whole range of AVM’s own apps such as FRITZ! App Fon, FRITZ! App WLAN or FRITZ ! Smart Home app. These allow certain functions and settings on the box to be conveniently managed using a smartphone.

The connections include four Gigabit LAN ports and a USB connection for printers and NAS storage solutions. The box also offers a handy format of 208 x 150 x 37 mm (height, width, depth). The power consumption in standby should be around 6 W and therefore particularly energy efficient. There is also a 5-year manufacturer guarantee. The FRITZ!
