After the European Union has voted in favor of consumers’ right to repair, France will be the first to bring this new legislation to the users in a publicly enlightening way , and that is that all devices that are on sale from January 2021 in France must carry a repairability note.

This system reminds us quite of what iFixit does in its disassemblies , showing the world how different electronic devices are disassembled, something that usually arrives at the launch of the same, and giving them a note depending on how difficult it is to disassemble and repair.

This It will cause some devices, such as AirPods, to receive very negative marks in the stores where they are exposed, as we remember, second generation AirPods received a 0 on their repairability scale of iFixit and users will be able to be aware of this fact.

In the same way, users will be able to know which devices like the Apple Mac Pro, with a grade of 9 on 10, they are easily repairable by the user , without having to go to an official technical service, something the 77% of users are reluctant according to a survey of the European Union.
