NVIDIA Ampere graphics cards are distinguished by great performance and a number of modern technologies, but despite some producers prepare versions that look completely inadequate to the presented possibilities. Let’s take the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 AERO model, which at first glance is associated with the legendary reference GTX 480 famous for its extreme temperatures. A similar reference to the old old days is now presented by the GALAX company, which has just shown the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 CLASSIC. They are characterized by quite a poor-looking cooling with a radial fan, which brings to mind the most powerful GPU from a few (dozen) years ago.

CLASSIC models they work with the default timings and have the same cooling with a large heat sink and a single turbine, which unfortunately should be audible all the time the cards are working.

Latest GeForce RTX cards 3090 and RTX 3080 by GALAX are probably the simplest possible systems that could be created. CLASSIC models work with default timings and have the same cooling with a large heat sink and a single turbine, which unfortunately should be audible throughout y card runtime (no Fan Stop solution). Both cards have dual 8-pin power connectors on the back which should help with cable management. Default TDP values for RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 is followed by 350 and 320 V.

ASUS confirms: GeForce RTX graphics cards will debut soon 3080 Ti z 20 GB VRAM and GeForce RTX 3060 with 12 GB VRAM

For video connectors , the systems were equipped with a standard set of 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI. Visually, there is only one difference between the RTX 3090 and RTX

CLASSIC – this NVLink connector is of course present in the most powerful Ampere system. Prices and availability dates for the models shown are not shown. For now, the models are only available on the Chinese GALAX websites, which may suggest that we will not buy them outside the Middle Kingdom, but it does not definitely mean that they will not appear in other countries.
