Introduction

GamaKay is an Asian keyboard brand that’s been getting attention from the mechanical keyboard enthusiasts recently for its solid offerings at different price points. It’s not a brand you will know a lot about by visiting its website given the people behind GamaKay seem to have focused primarily on the various product pages, but I’d argue that is a better use of resources anyway. A representation of GamaKay reached out about an interesting new keyboard that was just being released and a single look at the photos provided was enough to get me interested!

This is one of those photos and hopefully you get why I was hooked almost immediately. In a sea of black keyboards, the GamaKay LK75 is an off-white with white keycaps too. It has a volume knob on the top right corner, which feels like a must-have for non-mainstream keyboards these days, and then GamaKay did something clever by integrating it with a TFT LCD screen to make the most of that space rather than have the display placed somewhere else. The 75% form factor also means you have more keys at your disposal and GamaKay has also added a separate cluster of keys rather than a single column to further reduce the entry barrier to someone not used to a different, smaller form factor. There’s also two separate means of wireless connectivity in addition to the wired one and pricing is better than you might think too given this rich feature set.
