Introduction

GamaKay is an Asian keyboard brand that’s been getting attention from mechanical keyboard enthusiasts recently for its solid offerings at different price points. I didn’t know a lot about it until a representative reached out last year, and I am quite happy to have said yes to a review sample of the GamaKay LK75, given how it ended up being a runner-up for my best keyboard of 2023 list. The brand earned major brownie points with me thus, so I was happy to say yes again when a second keyboard review was requested.

Today we will be examining the GamaKay TK75HE, another 75% form factor keyboard as with the LK75 but with a more standard key configuration here as seen from the stock image above. The TK75HE comes in white or black colors with associated stock keycaps, and the HE in the product name refers to the use of Hall effect switches for added precision and even some customization over the travel distance. In fact, blurring the lines between a more typical switch and an analog one, the switches on this keyboard also allow for dynamic keystrokes, allowing up to four different actions within a single press of the key. The switches are custom-made for GamaKay and there is software control over all these features too. Oh, and did I mention this is also a gasket-mount hybrid wireless keyboard? As with the LK75, I’ll mention right away that the TK75HE is priced better than you might think given this rich feature set.
