Gigabyte introduces the new Aorus FI27Q-X gaming monitor with 240 Hz
Source: Hardware Luxx added 21st Dec 2020Gigabyte announced the release of an improved Aorus FI 27 QP. The monitor with the name Aorus FI 27 QX uses 240 Hz to a higher frame rate than its predecessor (165 Hz). The remaining technical data remain largely unchanged. The FI 27 QX also uses 27 – customs IPS -Panel with WQHD resolution as well as support for Adaptive-Sync (AMD FreeSync, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible).
The response time is one millisecond, which makes the monitor particularly interesting for gamers . In addition, the contrast is typically IPS at 1000: 1, while the DCI-P3 color space thanks to 10 Bit processing (8 bit + frame rate control) to 93% is covered. The average brightness is given as 450 cd / m², whereby peak values of 600 cd / m² should also be possible.
Both a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports are available for connection, whereby with the latter only a maximum of 144 Hz with WQHD resolution possible are. When connected via DisplayPort 1.4, the frame rate can be changed dynamically between 27 Hz and 240 Hz. Furthermore, a low-motion blur mode is integrated, which only works with deactivated Adaptive-Sync.
So far, the Arous FI 27 QX only listed on the Japanese online marketplace JD, but still without a price. It is not yet known when the monitor will be available in Germany and at what price.
