For several days now, users of Google services have been receiving messages informing about changes that will be introduced after 25 January next year . Each user has to decide how the giant from Mountain View will use the collected data on how to use Google applications, both mobile and web. Further consent to data processing will allow for even better adjustment of e-mail filtering, summarizing important information from e-mail and creating calendar entries. Of course, we can “prohibit” Google from using knowledge about our activities, but we will lose a lot of it. Nevertheless, the final choice in this matter is ours.

Google services use data about our activities to better adjust and improve the operation of mail, maps and calendar. If you are satisfied with them, you need to know about the planned changes.

One of the largest ISPs shows that they care about the privacy of its users. This is evidenced by the introduction of two new settings in Gmail, Google Chat and Meet, thanks to which people using these solutions can determine how the collected information is used in the mentioned and other services of the giant. The first consent refers to automatically filtering emails into categories, intelligently replying to them, and displaying a summary, such as travel or courier services. We will also decide here whether or not we consent to the automatic creation of calendar entries.

The above tools make your use of Google services more efficient and convenient. It is also worth checking the second of the aforementioned settings, which define intelligent functions and personalization in the Assistant (e.g. notification of unpaid bills), bookings visible in Google Maps and travel plans in Google Travel. If you continue to use the described features, you must consent to this form of processing of your data by Google. You should do this by 25 January. You can do it both from your computer and smartphone.
